Atlanta, GA — The Judicial Council of Georgia will meet for a General Session via Zoom teleconferencing on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The meeting will be the first Judicial Council of Georgia General Session chaired by Chief Justice David E. The Council will vote on items from several committees, including Legislation, Budget, Judicial Workload Assessment, and Court Reporting Matters. Other committees presenting reports are Technology, Court Interpreters, Grants, and Strategic Plan. The 28 member Judicial Council of Georgia meets several times a year to act on policy and administrative matters affecting the judiciary. Judges from Georgia’s appellate and trial courts at all levels are represented on the Judicial Council, as well as a representative from the State Bar of Georgia.
